Chances are, if you own a business you know that you need an online presence in today’s economy even if you don’t sell any product or service online. If you own a small business with a website, you may have also heard about search engine optimization. Search engine optimization, or ‘SEO’ for short, is the process used by search engine marketers and webmasters to increase search engine rankings (SERPs), therefore, increasing traffic to a website.
What Sets Alpha Tree Marketing Apart?
SEO ‘experts’ are cropping up all over the web. So, what sets one SEO consulting company apart from the rest? Simple!
White Hat Practices
We at Alpha Tree Marketing only utilize what are known as “White Hat” SEO techniques. These are search engine-approved methods to increase the visibility of your content on the Search Engine Results Page. What are the consequences of using tactics and techniques that are not searching engine-approved? At the very extreme, your site can actually be banned from showing up on the search engine at all. Can you imagine – all of your search engine traffic disappearing overnight? For most companies, this would be catastrophic and that’s why we only utilize approved techniques.
Communication, Reporting & Visibility
Many see SEO and online marketing as a clandestine industry, and they’re often right. Many companies hire their SEO provider and approach their own Internet presence from a black box perspective. In other words, they’re not exactly sure what’s going on “behind the scenes” just as long as they see results. Well, how do you measure results, exactly? Alpha Tree Marketing provides and number of base reports along with dozens of optional reports on a monthly basis to clients so they know exactly how their SEO campaign is progressing.
In addition to our monthly reporting (standard on all SEO packages), we are also actually accessible to our clients. What’s that mean to you as a prospective client? If you have a question, give us a call or send us an email. We guarantee we’ll be responsive to your questions, comments and concerns the first time. Communication is key to the success of any SEO campaign.
Small Business SEO Specialists
If you’re a small business owner you may think search engine optimization is only for the “heavy hitters” and that’s just not the case. For just a few hundred dollars a month you can dramatically increase your search engine visibility, your traffic and, therefore, your customers. No where else on the planet can you spend so little and receive so much for your money in return than from SEO. Don’t believe us? Check out our testimonials page. It’s full of thoughts from our small business customers just like you!
Why should you care about SEO?
Searches = Traffic = Conversions = Customers!
Nearly half of all traffic on the Internet originates from search engines. We’re sure you’ve done it before as well. Looking for more information on a topic? Hop online and do a search! Looking to purchase a new gadget or service? Search engines perform an excellent research role, but make no mistake about it, people that are performing searches are also looking to buy as well! The key is knowing which terms are window shoppers are which are buyers.
90% of Clicks Come From Page One
When it comes to search engines, if you’re not on the first page of results you may as well not be listed at all. Research has shown that 90% or more of search engine clicks come on the first page of results. How do you suppose those companies got to the first page of search results, though? For many, the answer is through their SEO provider.
What Would More Traffic Mean to Your Business?
Website traffic, on the scale that search engines are able to provide on a monthly basis, can be a bit difficult to fathom. To assist in helping you, as a business owner, translate what more hits would mean to your bottom line, we’ve created a “What-If” SEO Calculator.
This calculator is meant to demonstrate what increases in traffic could mean to your bottom line. SEO consulting firms talk about potential traffic in the thousands of hits per day or more, but what could that mean to you as a business? You’ll quickly realize that search engine optimization can pay off big and provide among the highest ROI in marketing & advertising.
The ATM SEO Process
SEO Step 1: Analysis
All SEO clients are provided with a custom ranking analysis for the keywords and phrases they most want to see improvement in on their site (and perhaps a few others we feel may be of value). My analysis is presented in two forms: an MS Word doc that narrates each of the areas of improvement along with an Excel spreadsheet of data to back up and illustrate my recommendations for improvement. By way of a phone or Skype call, we provide our clients with a detailed explanation of my findings, explaining each piece of information in as much or little detail as is desired for the site owner to understand their site’s SEO needs. If necessary or desired, a remote screen sharing session can also be scheduled to further illustrate real-life examples pointed out in our analysis documentation.
SEO Step 2: Optimization
In step 2, we take the analysis one step further and not only recommend corrective action but also provide services to improve search rankings, page ranking (PR) and site visibility. If you’re not comfortable making the changes recommended during the analysis phase on your own, we’re more than happy to do them for you! From on-page optimization tasks such as page, header, title and description optimization to off-page optimization, we can handle all of your SEO tasks.
SEO Step 3: Relationship SEO
In step 3, we take SEO to the next level. Not only do we analyze and optimize your site’s SEO needs but we also take steps to maintain and even improve your long-term ranking potential through strategic SEO plans, two-way communication and on-going education of the site owner. Many site owners make the mistake of “optimize and forget” when in reality, site SEO is a process, not a static event. If you want to ensure your site’s ranking potential for the long-term the only way to do that is through Relationship SEO.
